EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the regulation)

These regulations, which replace the Work Health and Safety Regulations 2012,form part of a system of nationally harmonised work health and safety laws and make provision in relation to the following:

(a) health and safety representatives;

(b) managing risks to health and safety;

(c) general workplace management;

(d) hazardous work;

(e) plant and structures;

(f) construction work;

(g) hazardous chemicals;

(h) asbestos;

(i) major hazard facilities.
