Misuse of Drugs Order 2003

I, the Lieutenant-Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following order under section 40(3) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 2001 .

1.   Short title

This order may be cited as the Misuse of Drugs Order 2003 .

2.   Commencement

This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Principal Act

In this order, the Misuse of Drugs Act 2001 is referred to as the Principal Act.

4.    Schedule 1 amended (Controlled substances and trafficable quantities)

Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the Principal Act is amended as follows:
(a) by inserting after item 112 the following:

112M. 

Epoetin alfa

 

112N. 

Epoetin beta

 
(b) by omitting item 255M and substituting the following:

255M. 

Salvinorin A (otherwise known as Methyl (2S, 4aR, 6aR, 7R, 9S, 10aS, 10bR)-9-Acetoxy-6a,10b-Dimethyl-4,10-Dioxo-Dodecahydro-2-(3-Furyl)-2H-Naphtho[2,1-c]Pyran-7-Carboxylate)

This order amends Schedule 1 to the Misuse of Drugs Act 2001 by updating and correcting the list of controlled drugs.
