Misuse of Drugs Order 2005
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following order under section 40(3) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 2001 .

This order may be cited as the Misuse of Drugs Order 2005 .
This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.
In this order, the Misuse of Drugs Act 2001 is referred to as the Principal Act.
4. Schedule 1 amended (Controlled substances and trafficable quantities)
Schedule 1 to the Principal Act is amended as follows:(a) by omitting item 112 from Part 2 and substituting the following:

(b) by omitting items 177 and 178 from Part 2 and substituting the following:

N,α-dimethyl-3,4-(methylenedioxy) phenylethylamine (otherwise known as MDMA)

N,α-dimethyl-2,3-(methylenedioxy) phenylethylamine (otherwise known as 2,3-MDMA)

(c) by omitting item 248 from Part 2 and substituting the following:

Pseudoephedrine in a quantity greater than 6g

(d) by inserting after item 5 in Part 3 the following:

Mitragyna speciosa
Displayed and numbered in accordance with the Rules Publication Act 1953.

This order amends Schedule 1 to the Misuse of Drugs Act 2001 by updating and correcting the list of controlled drugs.
