Gas Pipelines (Transmission Pipeline) Amendment Order 2010

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following order under section 3(3) of the Gas Pipelines Act 2000 .

1.   Short title

This order may be cited as the Gas Pipelines (Transmission Pipeline) Amendment Order 2010 .

2.   Commencement

This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Principal Order

In this order, the Gas Pipelines (Transmission Pipeline) Order 2001 is referred to as the Principal Order.

4.    Schedule 1 amended (Particulars of Title)

Schedule 1 to the Principal Order is amended by inserting after item 5 the following items:

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the order)

This order amends the Gas Pipelines (Transmission Pipeline) Order 2001 by providing that the pipeline for the delivery of gas to the BOC Liquefied Natural Gas plant at Westbury is to be treated as a transmission pipeline for the purposes of the Gas Pipelines Act 2000 .
