Criminal Code Amendment Act 2001

An Act to amend the Criminal Code Act 1924 and the Police Offences Act 1935 with respect to certain sexual offences and related matters

Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:

1.   Short title

This Act may be cited as the Criminal Code Amendment Act 2001 .

2.   Commencement

This Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent.

3.   Principal Act

In this Act, the Criminal Code Act 1924 is referred to as the Principal Act.

4.   

The amendments effected by this section have been incorporated into the authorised version of the Criminal Code Act 1924 .

5.   

The amendments effected by this section has been incorporated into authorised versions of the following Acts:

(a) Criminal Code Act 1924 ;

(b) Police Offences Act 1935 .
