Railway Management Act (Repeal) Act 1997
An Act to repeal the Railway Management Act 1935 and to make certain consequential amendments to the Transport Act 1981 and the Police Offences Act 1935
Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:
This Act may be cited as the Railway Management Act (Repeal) Act 1997 .
This Act commences on a day to be proclaimed.The amendment effected by this section has been incorporated into the authorised version of the Railway Management Act 1935 .The amendments effected by this section have been incorporated into the authorised version of the Transport Act 1981 .The amendment effected by this section has been incorporated into the authorised version of the Police Offences Act 1935 .
6. Regulations under Railway Management Act 1935 rescinded
The regulations made under the Railway Management Act 1935 and published in the Gazette on 5 March 1941 are rescinded.
Until provision is made in relation to this Act by order under section 4 of the Administrative Arrangements Act 1990 –(a) the administration of this Act is assigned to the Minister for Transport; and(b) the Department responsible to the Minister for Transport in relation to the administration of this Act is the Department of Transport.
