Legislation Repeal Act 2010
An Act to repeal certain Acts and spent enactments and for related purposes

Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:
This Act may be cited as the Legislation Repeal Act 2010 .
This Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent.
3. Effect of repeal of Substandard Housing Control Act 1973
(1) A notice of intention, or a notice of declaration, that has not been withdrawn, quashed or cancelled under the Substandard Housing Control Act 1973 before the commencement of this Act is taken to have been cancelled on the day this Act commences.(2) If a notice of intention, or notice of declaration, is taken to be cancelled under subsection (1) , the Recorder is to record on the affected folio that the notice of intention, or notice of declaration, in respect of the land referred to in that folio is cancelled.(3) In this section affected folio means a folio of the Register, within the meaning of the Land Titles Act 1980 , upon which a notice of intention, or a notice of declaration, is registered or recorded, and which constitutes the title of land in respect of which a notice of intention, or notice of declaration respectively, is taken to be cancelled under subsection (1) ;notice of declaration means a notice, declaring a house to be substandard under section 4(6) of the Substandard Housing Control Act 1973 , that has been registered under section 8A of that Act;notice of intention has the same meaning as in the Substandard Housing Control Act 1973 ;Recorder has the same meaning as in the Land Titles Act 1980 .

The legislation specified in Schedule 2 is repealed.
The legislation specified in Schedule 3 is revoked.
This Act is repealed on the first anniversary of the day on which it commences.
Until provision is made in relation to this Act by order under section 4 of the Administrative Arrangements Act 1990 (a) the administration of this Act is assigned to the Treasurer; and(b) the department responsible to the Treasurer in relation to the administration of this Act is the Department of Treasury and Finance.
SCHEDULE 1 - Consequential AmendmentsThe amendments effected by Section 4 and this Schedule have been incorporated into authorised versions of the following Acts:
(a) Acts Interpretation Act 1931 ;(b) Hospitals Act 1918 ;(c) Private Forests Act 1994 .
