Public Health Amendment (Healthy Tasmania) Act 2017
An Act to amend the Public Health Act 1997

Be it enacted by Her Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:
PART 1 - Preliminary
This Act may be cited as the Public Health Amendment (Healthy Tasmania) Act 2017 .
This Act commences on a day to be proclaimed.
PART 2 - Public Health Act 1997 Amended

PART 3 - Work Health and Safety Regulations 2012 Amended

PART 4 - Miscellaneous Provisions
(1) A tobacco seller's licence that is in force immediately before the commencement day –(a) is, on and after the commencement day, taken to be a smoking product licence issued under this Act; and(b) is, on and after the commencement day, subject to the same terms and conditions to which it was subject immediately before the commencement day; and(c) subject to this Act, continues in force, on and after the commencement day, for the remainder of the period for which it was issued or renewed.(2) An application for a tobacco seller's licence made before the commencement day and not determined before that day is, on and after that day, to be treated as an application for a smoking product licence.(3) In this section –commencement day means the day on which this Act commences.
This Act is repealed on the three hundred and sixty fifth day from the day on which it commences.
