Youth Justice Amendment Act 1999
An Act to amend the Youth Justice Act 1997
[Royal Assent 27 October 1999]
Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:
This Act may be cited as the Youth Justice Amendment Act 1999 .
This Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent.
In this Act, the Youth Justice Act 1997 is referred to as the Principal Act.
4. Section 2 substituted
Section 2 of the Principal Act is repealed and the following section is substituted:This Act commences on a day to be proclaimed.
5. Section 132 amended (Prohibited actions)
Section 132(a) of the Principal Act is amended by omitting "or as required by the Secretary under section 140 or an order made under section 141 ".
