Taxi Industry (Taxi Areas) Amendment Regulations (No. 2) 2004
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Taxi and Luxury Hire Car Industries Act 1995 .

These regulations may be cited as the Taxi Industry (Taxi Areas) Amendment Regulations (No. 2) 2004 .
These regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.
In these regulations, the Taxi Industry (Taxi Areas) Regulations 1996 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.
4. Regulation 7 substituted
Regulation 7 of the Principal Regulations is rescinded and the following regulation is substituted:7. Assessed market value of licences
For the purposes of section 11 of the Act, the assessed market values for perpetual taxi licences in taxi areas as at 1 July 2003 are as follows:(a) Burnie taxi area $38 000;(b) Hobart taxi area $81 750;(c) Launceston taxi area $43 800;(d) Break O'Day taxi area $19 000;(e) Bruny Island taxi area $1 000;(f) Central Highlands taxi area $1 000;(g) Circular Head taxi area $20 000;(h) Devonport taxi area $40 000;(i) Dorset taxi area $3 000;(j) Flinders Island taxi area $1 000;(k) George Town taxi area $21 900;(l) Glamorgan/Spring Bay North taxi area $3 000;(m) Glamorgan/Spring Bay South taxi area $1 800;(n) Huon Valley taxi area $11 000;(o) Kentish taxi area $3 000;(p) King Island taxi area $1 000;(q) Meander Valley taxi area $21 900;(r) New Norfolk taxi area $20 000;(s) Penguin taxi area $2 500;(t) Perth taxi area $21 900;(u) Tasman taxi area $5 000;(v) Ulverstone taxi area $30 000;(w) West Coast taxi area $1 000;(x) West Tamar taxi area $21 900.
