Local Government (General) Amendment Regulations 2016
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Local Government Act 1993 .

These regulations may be cited as the Local Government (General) Amendment Regulations 2016 .
These regulations take effect on 13 April 2016.
In these regulations, the Local Government (General) Regulations 2015 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.
4. Regulation 3 amended (Interpretation)
Regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations is amended as follows:(a) by omitting the definitions of appropriate authority , code of conduct and complaint ;(b) by omitting the definition of respondent councillor .
5. Part 5 rescinded
Part 5 of the Principal Regulations is rescinded.
6. Schedule 3 amended (Fees)
Schedule 3 to the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting items 4 , 5 and 6 and substituting:

50 fee units
7. Schedule 6 amended (Questions)
Part 6 of Schedule 6 to the Principal Regulations is amended as follows:(a) by omitting "(f)" from column 2 of paragraph (f) of item 34 in the table and substituting "(e)";(b) by omitting "(d)" from column 2 of paragraph (f) of item 35 in the table and substituting "(e)".
8. Schedule 7 rescinded
Schedule 7 to the Principal Regulations is rescinded.

These regulations amend the Local Government (General) Regulations 2015 consequentially on the making of the Local Government Amendment (Code of Conduct) Act 2015 and the Local Government (Model Code of Conduct) Order 2016 made under that Act.
