Proclamation under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970
I, the Lieutenant-Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, on the recommendation of the Minister and with the approval of both Houses of Parliament, by this my proclamation made under section 14(1) of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970
15 July 1999(a) declare the land specified in Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of national park; and(b) give the name Tasman National Park to that reserved land; and(c) declare that this proclamation takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE 1 - Tasman National ParkAll those areas of Crown land, including all islands and offshore rocks adjacent to the coastline from Visscher Island to 5237950mN, comprising approximately 1 425 hectares shown bounded by heavy black lines on Plan 4985 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
