State Policies and Projects (Project of State Significance) Order 2006
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Minister, make the following order under section 18(2) of the State Policies and Projects Act 1993 .

This order may be cited as the State Policies and Projects (Project of State Significance) Order 2006 .
This order takes effect on the day after it is approved by both Houses of Parliament under section 18 of the State Policies and Projects Act 1993 .
3. Project of State significance
A proposal by Walker Corporation Pty Ltd (ABN 95 001 176 263) for a waterfront housing and marina development, mostly situated on reclaimed land to the north of the Ralphs Bay Canal on the tidal flats of Ralphs Bay at Lauderdale in Tasmania, known as Lauderdale Quay, is declared to be a project of State significance.
The project declared under clause 3 includes, but is not limited to (a) the reclamation of land in Ralphs Bay, to the north of the canal; and(b) the subdivision of the reclaimed land; and(c) the construction of dwellings and other buildings on the reclaimed land; and(d) the development of berthing facilities and the operation of a marina; and(e) the restoration of salt marshes and tidal flats to the south-west of the canal; and(f) off-site habitat creation or restoration works or both off-site habitat creation and restoration works; and(g) infrastructure upgrades; and(h) any other use or development which is necessary or convenient for the implementation of the project.
